Take a (Brief) Break from Dark Circles with DuWop Circle Block Concealer - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Turns out my concerns about how DuWop Circle Block Concealer ($28) would really work in practice were right. I'g glad I saved my receipt considering it's going right back to Sephora!

It'due south really too bad 'cause I was then excited about this product. I'd never seen anything like Circle Cake's two-part concealer arrangement before. The cute lil' jar comes with both a creamy peach colored waterproof colour corrector to cake night circles and a liquid under-heart concealer to cover them up. Sounds genius, correct?

Circle Cake in Medium

There are three shades (light, medium, dark) to choose from, and I decided to become with medium.

My optics wait pretty expert when I have information technology on; the color corrector covers up the dark areas thoroughly, and the concealer lightens up the centre expanse — like it'southward supposed to.

Unfortch the issue doesn't last, and after only 1 hour of wear it all merely disappears. Hello once again, zombie girl!

And I really tried to brand Circle Block work. I did all sorts of Frankensteiny experiments mixing dissimilar makeup primers, center creams and setting powders to go some extra wearable time out of it, but null made a departure.

I even tried varying the ratio of colour corrector to concealer thinking that that would do the fox, but no luck there, either.

With one layer of peach colour corrector…

… and then with concealer popped right on top.

While I tin can't say for sure why Circle Cake slides correct off (maybe I got a faulty pot?), it may have something to do with how oily the skin is around my eyes, or maybe the product'southward just too emollient for my skin.

Fifty-fifty though it didn't ready my globe on fire, I bet Circle Block would piece of work ameliorate for yous if y'all have dry skin (or at least pare that isn't oily like mine) around your optics.

If you decide to give information technology a try, be prepared to spend some time troubleshooting to find the correct amount of color corrector to apply. Too much resulted in a heavy, caked on look. Information technology took a few tries to find the sweetness spot.

1. You have dry peel under your eyes
2. You like scented products (it smells lightly of cocoa butter)
3. You normally purchase concealers in the $30 price range
4. You adopt cruelty-free cosmetics

Practice you always feel so wiggly that you tin't concentrate at all? For the life of me I haven't been able to stay on task today. I had a whole list of things I wanted to get done today, only all I managed to exercise was substantially increase my library of Tamoh Penikitt pictures. I approximate that's productive in its own special way, ha ha ha!
